Brooke is a PhD candidate in International Studies at the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and joined Paragon Philanthropy in 2024. Prior to this, she worked on the vetting team at GlobalGiving, where she conducted risk assessments and due diligence for the largest crowdfunding community in the world, evaluating nonprofits and for-profits to determine their eligibility for GlobalGiving’s grant programs and corporate partnerships. Brooke also served as a Fulbright ETA grantee at the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and worked as a Constituency and Field Organizer in her home state of New Mexico.
She holds a master’s degree in Global Studies from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Romance Languages from the University of New Mexico. Brooke has lived in Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, Rabat, New York, and Lisbon and speaks Portuguese, French, and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys planning her next move, hiking with her dog, skiing, learning to sail, dancing, and indulging in dulce de leche.
